Wiki: I thought the same thing; he almost seemed to expect it when she first got up but the rest I'm not sure about. I mentioned somewhere else that after having seen him up close several times in several different venues, it's apparent to me that he has his "real face" and he has his "show face" that he puts on during the taping. The "show face" is very different from his real face, and the transformation is very obvious: he goes into character and his "Stephen" face comes out and it rarely leaves (even during the commercials) except sometimes, particularly during the interviews (the time when he has the most likelihood of being Stephen, not "Stephen,") when he gets surprised by something. Well he had his "real face" on for this whole interview, which tells me that he was truly discombobulated. And you're right, Fonda looks downright fantastic for ANY age, let alone 69.

snoopypez: I meant his left hand, not his right. His left went up right when she sat down (as if to put it around her in the normal pose for someone you are holding you your lap) and then went to the armrest and stayed there, too timid to even wiggle for the rest of the interview. I think he was using it to hold on for dear life. ;-)

I swear I thought you typed in 'Kiss The Cock' up there--I really need to put my glasses on. :)

It almost seems like Stephen sort of knew what was going to happen at first--he just didn't seem to act that surprised when she started coming around the table and moved his chair. But when she sat on his lap, that did seem to really take him by surprise. And when she remained in his lap--I'm pretty sure none of that stuff was planned. But I do wonder if there wasn't a tentative plan for her to come around the table, turn his chair around, kiss him, and then sit back down--in her own chair mind you, not Stephen's lap! I'm going to watch it again to see if I get the same impression that I did the first time.

Also, am I the only one that saw him squeeze her leg/thigh and mention how firm it was?!? For the most part, he did keep his hands to himself--my God, he looked so freaking terrified at times--but I know I saw him do that.

I think what Jane did was great--my fuck--she's 69!!!! Jesus, I thought she was in her mid-50's! Anyway, she's showing that a woman can still be sexy well past menopause. As a woman in her 40's, this is pretty important stuff for me personally. And it was rather nice to see Stephen caught off guard....I bet his lips are wonderful. Nice write up again Meow House.

The poor man was half-terrified to move, I think; his hand never budged from the armrest the whole time, probably for fear that it would encourage her to do god-knows-what on national TV.

-- Well, that's not quiiiite true. He touched her leg at one point and commented that it was nice. ;)
